Two older releases of mine from the Noisj label are now also available on vinyl! These were originally digital-only releases at the time (2010 and 2011). Additionally, both of these new vinyl editions feature detailed re-designs of both cover & label sides by me – making it worthwhile additions to your hardcore vinyl collections.

Both releases are available since today on Noisj via the ElasticStage platform.

Now online: Kapotcast.30 (Lineup Mix)

The weekend is nearing its end, so here’s a brand new edition of Kapotcast to stay in the vibe just a bit longer – this time by yours truly; Mental Wreckage.

It’s been a while since I did my last (non-tribute) mix of my own here, so I thought the time was ripe again. I really wanted to do something different though, so I came up with the idea to curate a special mix using only tracks from all the Kapotcast guests so far – with the exception of Limbic Region, who I invited to pick one of his favorite tracks instead, since he has no releases yet. Consider this a ‘Kapotcast Lineup Mix‘, marking a small milestone for the series.

For me it was a great (and fun) opportunity to dig into each artist’s discography a bit deeper than usual, select my own all-time favorites, and puzzle them into one set where they’d all blend nicely together. I’m proud of the result as well as the impressive international lineup of talented artists I’ve had the privilege of inviting for my series. If this doesn’t confirm the authentic dark & industrial hardcore sound still being widely alive and kicking, I don’t know what the hell will.

Also, congratulations to Borax on his upcoming debut release with Noisj, which is the closer track of this mix.

Rawsome (5th Anniversary Edition)

Since it’s 5 years ago that Rawsome, my collaboration EP with Moleculez was released, I decided to celebrate its anniversary by sharing it on my own Bandcamp with a nice discount that might be interesting for those of you who didn’t have this release yet.

As a bonus for the people who buy the full release, I included all the extra loudness versions that we received when DJ Hidden mastered our tracks: the dynamic versions with minimal compression, and the extra loud versions that have been notched up a few extra decibels if you care about the ‘loudness wars’.

Tribute Mix for Mindustries Yuri †

As I hinted last week on my Symp.tom and Mental Wreckage socials; I made a special tribute (mega)mix for a fallen comrade.

Originally, Yuri van Vlijmen from Mindustries was supposed to do October’s edition of my Kapotcast mix series. Tragically, as most of you know by now, he passed away last summer in June. And since Yuri was also a very old friend of mine (even before we both were active musicians), it couldn’t be more fitting to dedicate that edition to filling some of that void with the very essence of his legacy.

This mix is more than just a playlist – it’s a showcase & time capsule of Yuri’s impressive music career, featuring ALL of his released tracks, collaborations, and remixes (both solo and with Nils, his Mindustries partner in crime).

I’ve put quite some time & work in this mix, and it was also kind of grief therapy for me. So this is for you, Yuri. Farewell old friend – may your music and memory live on forever.

This megamix is almost 2 hours long and can be streamed at the following platforms:
